Joan F Caffrey, nee Sullivan, 63, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 9, at her home in Lake Villa. Born Feb. 27 to the late Robert and Kathryn Sullivan, she was proud of her 25 years of work at Abbott Laboratories. Joan’s legacy will continue on through all those she touched.
Often recognized as the family matriarch, Joan was the loving wife of the late James Bernard Caffrey, the beloved mother of Matthew Sullivan, the fond step-mother of Elizabeth Levine and Nick Caffrey; the proud grandmother of Isabella Marie and Riley Jane; the cherished sister of Robert (Judy) Sullivan Jr, the late Alice McKinney, Kathleen Mulvaney, Michael (Pat) Sullivan, the late John Sullivan, Timothy (Kate) Sullivan, and Mary Sullivan; and a very special aunt to all her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation Friday from 4 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:30 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central (at Northwest Highway). Father Bob Heinz to officiate. Private family interment to follow at a later date at All Saints Cemetery.
